Meet Christy!

Christy has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry. In 2000, after receiving her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and her Master’s in Fitness Management, Christy made the bold move from Illinois to California. Christy has held various positions within the fitness industry while discovering and building her strengths. It was then that Christy discovered her love for Pilates, yoga, working with women, and helping new moms exercise while bonding with their baby. This energetic woman has a passion for educating and motivating moms on how they can reach their fitness/wellness goals within their busy schedules. She helps her clients increase and improve their strength, posture, aerobic conditioning, self esteem, and everyday functional skills on a regular basis. Christy believes exercise programs should be fun, full of variety, and effective.

  • American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certification for Personal Training

  • Pilates Mat Certification with over 200 hours of Practical Training

About Pi-Yo Play

After Christy became a mother in 2006, she decided it was time to fulfill her dream of owning her own business. She was ready to use her knowledge and experience to build a business focused on helping moms like herself stay fit. Christy had attended and observed several mom and baby yoga sessions, but she always felt that something was missing from these classes. Christy combined her expertise in Pilates and yoga with her own signature ideas to create a new kind of program and Pi-Yo Play® was born! Pi-Yo Play® focuses on motivating and educating women on how to manage fun effective fitness routines within their busy lives and as their children grow from babies to adulthood.
