SPECIAL – 6wks ONLY Challenge to Change Boot Camp

Take the Challenge to Change your current fitness routine in just six weeks, twice a week! Whether you want to lose weight, gain strength, build cardio, increase your agility skills, or all of the above, this class is for you! Work at your own level/pace (although I will challenge you) while we do circuits, intervals, sprint work (you don’t have to be a runner), lunges, tricep dips, good old fashioned push-ups, games, and more.

When was the last time you pushed yourself beyond your comfort zone? It’s time, let’s do it together!!

*Bring a yoga mat (it will get dirty on pavement) & water
*Meet at the bottom ramp by the bathrooms and the field (there will be lights coming from the school)
*We will have a group e-mail to communicate, to share success stories, provide health tips, & build our little community

What will a typical class look like?

10 min warm-up with health topic/tip of the day
30 min workout on field and/or pavement: circuits (pace yourself within time frame), intervals own pace, partner drills, team games, track type workout (speed walk or run), push-ups, dips, etc
10 min cool down/stretch on pavement: mostly abs, yoga, & stretching

(I, Christy, have taught several boot camp type classes through the years, including BootCamp TimeOut Services at Stanford M-F for several months and a 6 wk boot camp class at Alta Vista last year. Check out my About page for more info on my background)

Mommy & Baby Pi-Yo Play® Classes (Pilates/Yoga)

Mommy & Baby Pi-Yo Play® classes combine a very unique blend of Pilates, yoga, and singing while you bond with your baby. You and your baby will play and learn as you sing nursery rhyme songs, explore movement, practice massage, explore new objects and observe other babies. Your baby will enjoy modeling your movements and listening to your voice. After every class, you will leave with a S.M.I.L.E!

Exercises and poses are performed both with and near your baby. Mommy & Baby Pi-Yo Play® classes are a unique, one-of-a-kind experiences that will bring you and your baby closer while assisting you in your recovery from childbirth.

Pi-Yo Mommy and Baby Class

Open for babies 6 weeks – 9 months old and/or to crawling. Consult health care provider before beginning this class. No prior yoga or Pilates experience required.

Vinyassa Flow Yoga Class

Ready to get energized while you build strength and flexibility?! This upbeat, creative yoga practice, seamlessly links breath and movement, while still giving you time to “hang out” in some poses to be present, breath, and go deeper. It will challenge your mind to maintain focus as you learn to move gracefully in and out of varies poses.
Utilizing Sun Salutations, strength building and balance movements, you will flow from pose to pose, that will build confidence and help you stay present and centered both on and off the mat.

Pilates Matwork Classes

Joseph Pilates created a body conditioning method that works in a different way than other fitness technique. Targeting the deep postural muscles, pilates works by building strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body & bringing it into correct alignment. The precise movements during this class will stretch & strengthen the muscles without adding bulk. You will quickly notice your abdominal & back muscles getting stronger and more defined. Your legs will appear leaner with more definition, & you will have an improved posture creating a taller appearance.

Hydrate before, during & after class. Open to all levels. Must be 18+ yrs old.
